Description

This fruity-sour drink is obtained by adding fresh cherries to half-young lambic. The addition of fruit provides a new fermentation in the oak barrels. After 8 to 12 months, only the seeds and peels of the cherries remain and the kriekenlambiek is ready to be filtered and bottled. This method gives a rather sour and less fruity beer. Ideal to try with stew or rabbit with Kriek.
