Although I'm not too much of a fan of Syrah, I much more prefer Merlot, this one caught my attention right away.

Its from a 5 acre estate called in St. Rita Hills in Santa Barbara County. They make Syrah, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Check out their cool story!

I like the aroma's of smoky meat, leather, vanilla, ripe plums, forrest berries and some animal notes as well. It's pretty full bodied, has some nice citrus flavours and a high intensity long finish.

Foodpairing : grilled lamb, steak, and even some strong Chinese flavoured dishes.
