If you don't know this product, you'll love it. You'll use it over and over. And then you will use it too much. And then you will learn how to use it. For starters, use only the Otafuku brand. There is no substitute. It's basically made of sugar, vinegar, salt and MSG (Monosodium Glutamate). You can use it to brine vegetables (sweet-sour), make vinaigrettes, or even make a simple cucumber soup stand out. Just ... use it in combination with other vinegars (like chardonnay), some lime, olive oils... It quickly makes your food taste to sweet so watch out! And yes you can use it to make sushi rice.
